Nina Rizk
Title: Using “Forum Theater” as a teaching tool to combat patient bias directed toward healthcare professionals
Biography
Ms. Nina Rizk is
currently a medical student at the University of Rochester School of Medicine
and Dentistry in Rochester, NY. Before beginning medical school, she spent time
working at a non-profit organization in Detroit, MI, and then went on to earn
her Master of Science and Master of Public Health at Boston University School
of Medicine in Boston, MA. She studied health law and health policy as they
intersected with human rights and structural racism, and she continues to
explore ways in which these themes may be better incorporated into medical
education and clinical training.
