Dr. Walton is a Family Nurse
Practitioner caring for disadvantaged populations in North Carolina. Her
mission is that if she can teach one person, then she will reach many. Dr.
Walton completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice studies at Winston-Salem State
University and implemented her doctoral project at a Federally Qualified
Healthcare Center. Her research interests include preventative health and
wellness, reproductive health, access to care, and health advocacy with a
passion for women’s health. Dr. Walton has been invited to speak at multiple
womens' conferences addressing health disparities and disseminating
evidence-based practices to promote population health.
