Penny
Gill was born and bred in Cape Town, South Africa and has been a nurse for
fifty-three years. She is currently working as a nursing lecturer at a small
private Nursing College. She has been a Nurse Educator since 1986 and her
special interests lie in curriculum design and innovative teaching strategies
using educational technology. In her previous role of Coordinator of an
Extended Nursing Curriculum Program at a University of Technology she guided
educationally, disadvantaged first year degree nurses using digital
storytelling to help the students engage with the curricular content and
reflect on their learning.
