Dr. Georg S. Kobinia is an experienced
cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeon. He was the Evart's A. Graham fellow of
the American Association for Thoracic Surgery. During his stay at the
Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, USA), wrote his dissertation about
prostaglandin metabolism of the heart during the cardioplegic arrest. As a heart
surgeon, his main interest was in stentless heart valve surgery. In addition to
his engagement in surgery, he founded and established regenerative medicine in
Austria. He has performed the first stem cell surgery in Egypt and the UAE.
With more than 1500 patients treated by him-self with stem cell transplantation
in various fields, he surely belongs to a small group of pioneers. His current
work is focused on autism and spinal cord injury.
