Nahid Rostami is an Associate Clinical
Professor of Pediatrics at UCSF in San Francisco, CA. She received her medical
degree abroad and completed a residency in pediatrics at Sinai Hospital and a
fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital in
Washington DC, USA. She works in multiple hospitals affiliated to UCSF in the bay area,
including UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco, Washington
Hospital Health System in Fremont, Natividad Medical Center in Salinas, and
Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa. Dr. Rostami also began serving as an associate
medical director of Special Care Nursery at WHHS since 2015 and has been a
Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2008. Her expertise is evaluation and caring for
premature infants and attending high-risk deliveries to resuscitate and
stabilize babies. She has conducted multiple clinical researches including using
glucose gel for the treatment of asymptomatic neonatal hypoglycemia, implementing ESC
approach for management of neonatal abstinence syndrome which improves the outcome
of drug-exposed infant, and using technology for the family-centered round in
special care nursery.
