Jayantee Kalita

Title: Role of intravenous immunoglobulin in pediatric Guillain-Barré syndrome compared to natural course.


Jayantee Kalita is a dedicated neurologist and her passion for research is evident by her contributions in a diverse field of neurology such as Guillain-Barre syndrome, tropical neurology, stroke, and cerebral venous sinus thrombosis which resulted about 430 publications. She has reported the pattern of GB syndrome in adults and children and the role of IVIg in children. She also reported the outcome of mechanically ventilated GBS using modified criteria of intubation. She received Faculty best research in neuroscience in 2017. She also awarded Amrut Mody Unichem prize by the Indian Council of Medical Research. She is a Fellow of Indian Academy Medical Sciences and National Academy of Neurology. She is the author of four books.
