Brickman Graduated from Wright State University School of Medicine
and completed an Emergency Medicine residency at St. Vincent Medical
Center/Toledo Hospital. Developed Department of Emergency Medicine at The
University of Toledo Medical Center establishing the Emergency Medicine
Residency Program in 2008 and served as Professor and Chairman of the
Department of Emergency Medicine. Served as Medical Director of the Emergency
Department for 25 years. Serves as Medical Director of several Skilled Nursing
Facilities throughout Northwest Ohio. Currently developing integration of
telemedicine within the university campus population at UT.
Founder and Director of the Office of Global
Health at The University of Toledo, establishing 17 international
collaborations in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Central America. Research
efforts have focused on areas of Simulation Education, Pain Management,
Resource Utilization and Sports Injuries resulting in over 100 national and
international presentations and over 60 publications within Emergency Medicine
and Global Health.
