Title: The Role of Advanced Practice Provider in Multidisciplinary Care for Critically Ill Oncologic Patients


Upon completion of two bachelor’s degrees; Biology and Nursing, Dr. Brydges migrated to the US.  After six years of RN experience and in a leadership role, she advanced her education as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in 2002. As a lifelong learner, she completed her doctorate degree in Nursing Practice. Thereafter, Dr. Brydges completed an Executive Master in Business Administration in 2015.  She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Nursing. She is involved in mentorship and preceptorship for nurses and advanced practice providers (APPs), leading quality improvements and patient safety initiatives, and chairing the APRN credentialing and privileging committee.  She is practicing as an ACNP in one of the largest cancer centers in Texas, US. 

Research Interest

Her research interests are sepsis recognition, promoting APP role, and delivering patient safety.
