After serving as a US
Navy Surface Warfare Officer, Patrick T Noonan, Jr., completed his M.D. at
Georgetown University in 1989. He subsequently completed a Medicine internship
in 1990 and a Diagnostic Radiology residency in 1994 at the Naval Medical Center
in San Diego CA. In 1996 he completed a 2-year fellowship in Diagnostic
Neuroradiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He then established the
first dedicated Interventional Neuroradiology program in the US Military at the
National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda MD. Since retirement from the Navy,
he has actively practiced Interventional Neuroradiology and has served on the
Neurological Devices Advisory Panel of the FDA. In addition to active practice
of interventional neuroradiology, he is the Medical Director of the DHR
Comprehensive Stroke Center. He holds ABR certification in Diagnostic Radiology
with a CAQ in Neuroradiology and SNS CAST certification in Neuroendovascular
Surgery. He is a member of the ASNR, SNIS, and WFITN.
