Cláudio Tadeu Daniel-Ribeiro (MD,
DSc, DrHC) is a Full Researcher and Professor at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute,
Fiocruz, where he Heads the Malaria Research Laboratory - which houses the
Malaria Research, Diagnosis and Training Centre (CPD-Mal), he also coordinates
at Fiocruz and that is a Reference Laboratory for the Ministry of Health's.
CTDR is a Full Member of the National Academy of Medicine in Brazil and
Corresponding Member of the French National Academy of Medicine and Past
President (2012-2016) of the International Federation for Tropical Medicine. He
was sacred Chevalier des Palmes
Académiques by the French Minister of National Education. He has experience
in Parasitology, focusing on human, simian and murine experimental malaria,
protective immunity, vaccine trials, malaria immunopathology, Amazonian and
Atlantic forest malaria and cognitive aspects of immune and neural responses.
He is also interested in the history of immunology and has published 217 papers (152
indexed in PubMed).
