Dr Claudia Corbo

Title: Development of biomimetic nanovesicles to communicate with the inflammatory microenvironment

Biography

Dr Claudia Corbo is an assistant professor of Biochemistry at University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy. In 2013, she joined the Center for Biomimetic Medicine at the Houston Methodist Research Institute (Houston, TX) where she studied events at the nano–bio interface with particular focus on bio-inspired nanoparticles. In 2016, she moved to Harvard Medical School where she worked on protein corona formation and nanoparticle/cell interaction to explore possible novel nano-therapeutic cancer applications. She has published more than 30 scientific articles, including book chapters. Her research interests include Drug delivery, cancer, proteomics and nano-bio interactions.
