Biography
Jaroslav Jerz has completed his
Ph.D. from Vienna University of Technology with a dissertation dedicated to the
development of aluminum foam by powder metallurgy. He is head of the SmartGrid
laboratory at the Institute of Materials & Machine Mechanics. His
laboratory is involved in the investigation of efficient management of
production and consumption of energy from renewable sources and performs also
development, testing and industrial commercialization of novel ceiling aluminum
foam heating/cooling panels. His scientific work is devoted to advanced
metallic materials, development of technologies for their industrial production
and transfer of knowledge gained by material research into industrial practice.
