On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 19th World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics, I wish to welcome you to the wonderful city of Madrid, a treasure of culture, science and civilization where our Congress is taking place.

This event is a great opportunity for the participants to meet people and share ideas from diverse professional and geographic backgrounds, converging to the same goal: women's health. Our lectures, presentations and discussions will encompass a wide spectrum of themes important for the physical and mental well-being of women, from basic science research to social and environmental issues. One quite unique aspect lies in the fact that our approach to the discussed subjects is multidisciplinary, as seen from different points of view by different specialists: researchers, medical doctors, nurses, midwives, social workers. Women's health problems include fertility, prevention, diagnosis and therapy of benign and malignant neoplasms, perinatal and obstetrical care, as approached in this second decade of the 21st century. "Exploring the future with New Horizons in Gynecology-Obstetrics"! We will try to make the best of it all!

Have an interesting and enjoyable time,  also exploring  the beauty of Spain, time permitting!

Dear Colleagues, a warm welcome to Gynecology 2019 in Madrid.

I accepted to be a speaker as I understand the importance of accompanying the practitioners, gynecologists and midwives toward excellency in the care of women and couples in fertility control.

The daily commitment of fertility control, improperly defined as “contraception”, implies an exact knowledge of every mean, drug and instrument offered by medicine, as well as a correct and full knowledge of their mechanisms of action.

The World Congress on Gynecology and Obstetrics(Gynecology2019) is focusing on theme "Exploring the future with the new horizons in Gynecology and Obstetrics".

If the future shall increase freedom, the freedom of choice requires knowledge, in order to express informed consent.

My lecture will deal with the mechanism of action (MOA) of emergency contraceptives: they are presented as drugs that prevent ovulation and fertilization. On the contrary, evidences in literature show that after their use ovulation mostly occurs, fertilization can ensue, but the endometrium is quite unsuitable for implantation. The embryo will not survive.

My duty will be explaining literature data in detail.

Women are deceived by official information. Doctors, Chemists and Midwives should put a great attention to this.

Besides, the repeated assumption of ellaOne (containing Ulipristal Acetate as Esmya) leads to accumulation in tissues and mainly in the liver, with potential dangerous effects for women, as with Esmya, but without any previous clinical exam or information for women.

I wait you to discuss about this.
