Title: Projected changes in extreme precipitation intensity and dry spell length in Côte d’Ivoire under future climates

Biography

Assi Louis Martial YAPO is a PhD student at Félix Houphouet-Boigny University of Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire). He is an early scientist in the field of atmospheric science. He studies climate change and especially focuses his studies on the impacts of climate change on climate extremes in a changing climate. His publications (“Projected changes in extreme precipitation intensity and dry spell length in Côte d’Ivoire under future climates” and “Twenty-First Century Projected Changes in Extreme Temperature over Côte d’Ivoire (West Africa)”) are related on the understanding the impacts of climate change on extreme temperature and precipitation features in terms of intensity and frequency at local scale (Côte d’Ivoire). He contributed as an author in the “Understanding the Local Carbon Fluxes Variations and Their Relationship to Climate Conditions in a Sub-Humid Savannah-Ecosystem during 2008-2015: Case of Lamto in Cote d’Ivoire” and the “Evaluation of Rainfall and Temperature Conditions for a Perennial Crop in Tropical Wetland: A Case Study of Cocoa in Côte d’Ivoire” papers. He also contributed as reviewer for Weather journal.
