Prof. A. Usha Rani has completed her Ph.D at the age of 27years from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, India. She continued her post-doctoral studies in the Department of Zoology of Sri Venkateswara University. At present she is Heading the division of Environmental Biology in the Department of Zoology. Her area of Research is Environmental Biology, Eco-toxicology, Heavy Metal Toxicology, Therapeutics with trace elements , Bioinformatics, Drug Design and Development. She has published more than 75 Research papers in reputed journals and presented her research work at more than 85 National and International conferences in India and USA. Guided 12 Ph.D. and 7 M.Phil. students and completed 8 Major Research Projects. Received several National and International awards from Scientific bodies. Visiting Professor at the University of West Georgia, Carrollton, GA, USA in 2016. She is a Fellow of the National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi and has been serving as an editorial board member in various scientific bodies.
