Karen Marie Braccialarghe, EdD, RN

Title: Exploring nurse faculty decisions related to virtual simulation before and during a global pandemic: A quantitative descriptive study

Biography

Dr. Karen Braccialarghe is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Hartford (UHart). She earned her EdD in Nursing Education in 2022 from Southern Connecticut State University.

 

Dr. Braccialarghe teaches and coordinates nursing courses at UHart in the undergraduate and graduate programs to all grade levels across the curriculum. Her areas of interest within nursing education include providing equity to clinical experiences and simulation, and curriculum design.

 

For the past twenty-one years Dr. Braccialarghe’s bedside nursing career has been in pediatric critical care. She has her pediatric critical care registered nurse certification (PCCRN) and remains current in practice in the PICU at Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford, CT. Dr. Braccialarghe is a member of the Association of Critical Care Nurses.
