Biography

Carol Moffett completed her Family Nurse Practitioner in 1995, and PhD in Nursing in 2007 at the University of Arizona.  She did postdoctoral work at the National Institutes of Diabetes Digestive and Kidney Disease (NIDDK) in Phoenix, Arizona. She is a fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Currently she is a clinical associate professor at Arizona State University (ASU) in the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation, in the DNP program.  It was her experiences with the NIDDK and its work on diabetes prevention that spurred her recognition of the metabolic syndrome development in the DNP students.
