Ahmet Yaramis

Title: A variety of abnormal movements in 13 cases with nutritional cobalamin deficiency in infants


Dr. Yaramis received his MD degree at Dicle University Medical School in Diyarbakir, Turkey. After completing his pediatric residency at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine in Diyarbak?r, he worked as a consultant physician for 6 years in the Pediatric Infections Unit at the same center. Then, he completed his pediatric neurology fellowship at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey.

He became Professor in Child Hospital at Dicle University Medical Scholl in 2008, Diyarbakir, Turkey. He has been working in his private office of paediatric and paediatric neurology clinic since 2015.

Dr. Yaramis's primary interest in clinical studies and research are neurogenetic and neurometabolic disorder, vitamin B12 nutritional deficiency, and neurotuberculosis in children. His most recent work shortly entitled ‘High diagnostic rate using whole exome sequencing (WES) in consanguineous families with suspected neurogenetic disorders’ includes rare and undiagnosed neurometabolic / neurogenetic disorder with an international consortium which conducted under the leadership of Hanns Lochmüller and Rita Horvath
