Title: Genotypic Combination from TCF7L2-rs7903146(C/T), KLF14-rs4731702(C/T) and PPAR-?2-rs1801282(C/G) gene polymorphisms in the predisposition to type 2 diabetes in a Cameroonian population; Potentials Targets for Drugs Development and Personalize Medicine

Magellan Guewo Fokeng has his expertise not only in the genetics of metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, ketosis-prone diabetes, and obesity, but in computational biology, and passion for the personalization of medicine for improving health. He has been trained in the Molecular Epidemiology of Diabetes, and was responsible for the proposition of the coordinate role of KLF14, a master gene which regulates both diabetes and obesity provides a variety of drug development targets in the form of signal pathways that can reduce the progression of multiple metabolic phenotypes or the risk of their complications. He is currently a Post-Doctoral research fellow at the Biotechnology Centre of the UY1, in the team of Professor Sobngwi Eugène, Professor Mbacham Fon Wilfred and Professor Mbanya Jean Claude. He is author or co-author of many publications including the first Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis on the genetic risk of T2D in the African populations
