R.H. Rizvi

Title: Atmospheric CO2 reduction by Poplar based agroforestry systems in Northern states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, India


R.H. Rizvi is Principal Scientist at ICAR- Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, Lucknow. Earlier he was at ICAR- Central Agroforestry Research Institute, where he served for 21 years. His expertise is Mapping and estimation of area under agroforestry systems using geospatial technologies; Assessment of carbon stock/ sequestration under agroforestry systems; Identification and mapping of tree species on farmlands using remote sensing. He has published more than 150 research publications (research papers, research articles, technical bulletins, conference papers, etc.). He is a reviewer of many national and internal journals. He is the recipient of five awards, like Brandis Prize, ICAR Team Award.
