C Díaz-Vargas is a biotechnologist and studies drug abuse and its impact on climate change. Throughout his professional career, he has basically focused on understanding the bacterial adaptation to degrade toxic substances to contribute decrease pollutants on climate change. Currently, he is the CEO of the Foundation for Developing of Science, Technology and Human Rights in Colombia where leads different projects on climate change. Dr. Díaz-Vargas is a member of several research groups such as the research group of the International Center of Strategic Studies Against Drug Trafficking of National Police of Colombia, Research Group in Chemical, Catalytic and Biotechnological Processes, and Research Group in the Plasma Physics.
