Biography

Elena A. Grigorieva is a Vice President, International Society of Biometeorology and Leading Researcher, Institute for Complex Analysis of Regional Problems, Russian Academy of Sciences, Far Eastern Branch, Birobidzhan, Russian Federation. She is also a Member of the Russian Geographical Society, Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia, Women in Science and Engineering Committee, Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Agriculture Data Union, American Meteorological Society and many other societies.  She was an Associate Professor (Environmental Science), Department of Geography and Nature Management, Priamursky State University, Birobidzhan, Russian Federation, between 2005-201. Her research interest covers a number of themes in applied geography, particularly in biometeorology, which includes Climatic risks for agriculture and human health, Agricultural climatology in extreme climates, Sensitivity of agriculture to climate change, climate and human health, Human bioclimatic indices, Human thermal acclimatization, Acclimatization in extreme climates, Climate and tourism. She did complete her Ph.D. (Environmental Science) from Far Eastern State University, Vladivostok, Russia.
