Ma-Hsuan Ma is a teacher in life science at Taipei Fuhsing Private School. She graduated from National Taiwan Normal University, Taiwan with a BSc in biology in 2001 and from National Taiwan University, Taiwan with a MS in cell biology in 2004. Ma-Hsuan now joins the PhD program in physics in National Central University, Taiwan, and uses physical methods to look into biology problems. She has developed lecture materials for the Advanced Placement Biology at Fuhsing high school, and advanced supplementary materials in biology for national readers. Ma-Hsuan has instructed numerous science projects that lead students to participate in National and International science and engineering fairs for over a decade.
Her research interests were more on cell biology, and now focus more on nanobiology and energy materials. Ma-Hsuan is now using X-ray and neutron diffraction methods to look into the structural and dynamical behavior of biological cells and energy materials.
