Carole Suzor

Title: MIRRORS: Perception and representation of identity, intimacy and sexuality after total mastectomy


Carole Suzor was a health professional as a cytologist and a trainer in cytology. She returned to study in Sexology, Public Communication and Sociology. She completed a master’s degree in sociology about breast cancer at the Laval University, Québec, Canada. She was also caregiver for her family and her relatives who had cancer. Her professional experience in different hospitals settings, her sociological research and her role as caregiver have led her to develop a great understanding about the medical and psychosocial aspects of cancer. After her studies, she has begun to give lectures, oral presentations and workshops to the students in nursing, health professional, physicians, volunteers, patients who have cancer, support organization. She attended and she gave oral presentation and/or electronic poster or session poster at several international congresses.
