Biography

M. d. M. Contreras completed her PhD in the year 2010 at the Inst. of Industrial Fermentations (CSIC) within the programme Food Science and Technology and Chemical Engineering (Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain). Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the Dept. of Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering (University of Jaén, Spain). Her current interest surrounds the valorization of agricultural and agroindustrial byproducts/wastes through obtaining bioactive compounds and their characterization. She has published more than 70 papers in JCR reputed journals.
