Queila Da Luz Samistraro is an academic professor at UNOESC-SC, Brazil, since 2019, where Queila teaches Dental Occlusion and supervises academics throughout the stages of the clinic practice. Queila is also a dental surgeon in her private practice, where she works mostly with the specialties of orthodontics and temporomandibular disorders for 21 years.
Graduated in Dentistry from UTP Universidade Tuiuti do Paraná (2002). Since then, obtained a Specialization in Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction by UFSC Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2006) and in Orthodontics by ILAPEO Latin American Institute of Dental Research and Education (2010). Master’s in science and Biotechnology from UNOESC Universidade do Oeste de Santa Catarina (2018). To better serve its patients in a systemic and integrated way, sought the International Certification in Lifestyle Medicine, Harvard, being one of the first certified dental professionals in Brazil (2020).
Queila chairs a group of multidisciplinary health professionals in her municipality. In this group are professionals such as doctors, nutritionists, pharmacists, biochemists, psychologists. The objectives of group are developing partnership and regional growth of the professionals involved and improving the quality of services provided to the population.
Queila is also the mother of an amazing and energetic boy, practices yoga is very enthusiastic about social media and online teaching about patient care, and advocates lifestyle medicine to fight chronic diseases.
