Conservative Dentistry is the branch
of dentistry which deals with the treatment of caries, malformed, discoloured,
nonesthetic, or fractured teeth and endodontics deals with treatment of pulpal
and periapical diseases and dental pain management. The curriculum provides
training in the prevention and treatment of the disease and injuries of the
hard tissues and the pulp of the tooth and associated periodical lesions.
Conservative
Dentistry and Endodontics is concerned with the treatment of diseases and
defects of hard tissues of teeth, specifically the restoration of the form, function,
and esthetics of those hard tissues. It also includes cosmetic and esthetic
correction of teeth. Endodontics deals with root canal
treatment, endodontic surgery, and related treatments.
